The Sunshine Pilot Club of Nassau
DO MORE. CARE MORE. BE MORE.
At The Sunshine Pilot Club of Nassau we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.
I am Sheila McPhee, President of The Sunshine Pilot Club of Nassau, 2021-2022.
It all began some twenty plus years ago when I was first introduced to this great Organization called Pilot International. I joined the Organization in 1997 as a member of the “Mother Club”, Pilot Club of Nassau, where I was mentored by my friend and Sister, Pilot Rita Spriggs, who took me under her wings and nurtured me like many others. Because the need was great to establish a Club for retired members who had difficulty driving in the evenings, the “Luncheon Pilot Club” was chartered, under the Presidency of Pilot Jacqueline Evans, where I served as a Charter Member and President Elect. I later became President of the then Luncheon Pilot Club, where I served faithfully until I had a fractured leg in 2015. I took a sabbatical for a few years then renewed my membership in 2018 where I recommitted to the ideals and principles of Pilot.
2020-2021 has been a year of many challenges due mainly to the Corona Virus, (COVID 19) the world over. However, as a Club we have risen to the challenges that confronted us.
It is my hope to continue the path laid by former Presidents, secure a home base
for the Club, increase visibility, and maintain our position on “Pick Me Ups” and to further increase our Membership as we together Do More, Care More and Be More
"Serving with an Excellent Spirit"
